I personnally think *Dessert* is the best part of the meal.
But I like sweet and simple recipes,
since cooking and baking is not always my favorite sport.wink5
And if you are the same way, then you are going to love these recipes.
They are sweet, simple and always a crowd pleaser.


Dessert Pizza

1 package (20 oz.) refrigerated cookie dough, any flavor.
3 cups thawed Whipped Topping
2 cups assorted fruit: such as
sliced bananas, kiwi, sliced strawberries
halved grapes or cherries
Heat oven to 350*F.
Press dough evenly into a 12 inch pizza pan.
15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool in pan on wire rack.
Place cookie crust on serving plate.
Spread whipped topping on cookie crust.
Garnish with fruit.
Serve immediatly or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Makes 12 servings.
***You may also substitute assorted candies or chopped candy bars.
Drizzle with desert topping if desired***


Double Chocolate Pudding Pie

Prep Time: 10 minutes Refrigerating Time: 4 hours
1 1/2 cups cold 2% or skim milk, divided in 1/2.
1 package (4-serving size) Devils food flavor instant pudding.
1 tub (8 oz.)Whipped Topping, thawed and divided in 1/2.
1 (6 oz.) Ready Crust graham or cookie pie crust.
1 package (4-serving size) White Chocolate flavor instant pudding.
Pour 3/4 cup of the milk into a medium bowl.
Add Devil's Food pudding mix.
Beat with wire whisk for 1 minute.
Mixture will be thick.
Gently stir in 1/2 of the whipped topping.
Spoon evenly into crust.
Pour remaining milk into another medium bowl.
Add White Chocolate pudding mix.
Beat with wire whisk for 1 minute.
Gently stir in remaining whipped topping.
Spread over pudding layer in crust.
Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set.
Garnish, if desired.
Store remaining pie in fridge - covered.
Makes 8 servings.
***You may substitute any ingredients with low or no fat products***


Super Easy Toffee

Foil a cookie sheet.
Spread a layer of saltines on foiled cookie sheet.
Melt 2 sticks butter.
Add 1 cup of lite brown sugar to melted butter.
Stirring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes.
Pour mixture evenly over saltines.
Bake at 400* for 7 minutes.
Immediatly pour 1 bag Semi Sweet
Chocolate Chips over warm saltines.
Spread while melting.
Refigerate 1 hour and crack up.


Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

Prep Time: 30 minutes Chill Time: 30 minutes
2 bars (3 ounces each) good quality chocolate
66 salted mini pretzels (about 3 ounces)
For decoration: mulitcolored nonpareils.
Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.
Break chocolate into small pieces into a small narrow
saucepan and stir constantly over VERY low heat until melted.
Or melt in a microwave by breaking chocolate into
a 2 cup microwave safe bowl and
waving on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
Stirring every 30 seconds.
Chocolate will not lQQk melted until stirred.
Holding pretzels with tweezers, a fork, or small tongs.
Dip into melted chocolate.
Tap gently on side of bowl to remove excess chocolate.
Place pretzel on lined cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with nonpareils before chocolate starts to set.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until completly set.
Store tightly covered in a cool place
with wax paper between layers.
***TIP: White chocolate scorches much faster then dark chocolate***


Mixed Fruit Cream Cheese Pie

Prep Time: 15 minutes Chill Time: 30 minutes
8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese, softened.
4 ounces whipped topping.
1/2 cup raspeberry or strawberry preserves.
1 Ready Crust graham cracker pie crust.
3 cups assorted seasonal fresh fruit
such as sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries,
peaches, nectarines or kiwi.
1/3 cup currant jelly (optional).
1 tbs almond flavored liquer
or 1/4 tsp almond extract (both optional).
Beat cream cheese and preserves with electric mixer
on medium speed, until smooth.
Fold in whipped topping with electric mixer on low speed.
Spread evenly over bottom of crust.
Arrange fruit attractively over filling.
If you want to make a glaze:
Heat jelly in a small saucepan or in micrwave until melted.
Stir in almond flavoring.
Brush glaze over fruit.
Chill for 30 minutes and serve immediatly.


Cheescake Brownies

Prep Time: 20 minutes Baking Time: 40 minutes
1 Pkg. (19.8 oz) Fudge Brownie Mix
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 Tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Prepare brownie mix as directed on package.
Pour into greased 13X9 inch baking pan.
Beat cream cheese with electic mixer on
medium speed until smooth.
Add sugar, mixing until blended.
Add egg and vanilla, mix just until blended.
Pour cream cheese mixture over brownie mix.
Cut thru the batter with a knife
several times for the marbled effect.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes,
or until cream cheese mixture is lightly browned.
Cool. Cut into squares. Makes 24.
